Software freezes while matchmaker runs

Description

Whenever I run the matchmaker for any two molecules, the interface freezes
instantly. Can't fix it anyhow. Need help

Hi,

It would be helpful to know what kind of computer you're on, what version of ChimeraX you're using and so forth. The easiest and best way to supply that information is to start ChimeraX and use Help→Report A Bug to submit a bug report, which will include all that. info automatically. You might also say which structures you were using matchmaker on.

hello Eric,

I tried to superimpose two antibody-antigen complexes with the matchmaker
feature. I had been doing it for some months now, but never faced this
issue, which is the software interface gets stucked in the middle or
freezes completely. Then I uninstalled and reinstalled the software, only
then it got fixed. If this issue keeps coming again, that would be a very
big trouble for me. Is it my computer or the bug in the software?

I have already submitted a bug report. Hope you will catch up soon.

Hi,

Unfortunately it does not make too much sense to me why re-installing ChimeraX would solve the problem, unless the re-installed ChimeraX is a newer version than the old one. Did you reboot your machine at all during this time? That could have an effect.
No one else has reported this problem, so somehow it is specific to your machine/environment.

Yes, I have reinstalled a newer version. Previously it was 1.10 and the
current one is 1.11. I rebooted with the older version, and it didn't work.
When i uninstalled the older version and reinstalled the newer one, the
problem is solved somehow.
