I wonder if you start ChimeraX on Windows then logout without doing anything in ChimeraX if it kills it in a way that looks like this crash report.

Yes logging out while ChimeraX is running generates causes it report a crash next time you start ChimeraX as demonstrated in ticket #17904. This only effects our ChimeraX daily builds since crash reporting on Windows is disabled in ChimeraX 1.9 and in the 1.10 release.
