HIV-1 Protease
(PDB 3PHV)
- vs.
previous version,
adjusted the view to better emphasize homodimer symmetry
and made the monomers two different colors
- two versions here are with and without black outlines
- vs. previous version,
used brighter colors and decreased contrast to make the shading less dark
- as above, the homodimer is shown with two different colors
- two versions here are with and without black outlines
- dashed lines indicate missing parts
Human Cytochrome P450 2C9
(PDB 1OG5, complex with warfarin)
- vs. previous version,
made ribbon loops (nonhelix/nonstrand) a lighter gray, recolored carbon atoms
in sticks
- two versions here are with green or yellow carbon atoms; to my eye, the
latter stands out better, but is less traditional (usually gray or green
is used for carbon, whereas yellow is used for sulfur)
- both versions have black outlines but could be remade without
