There are two types of display options, those that act as on/off toggles and those that vary over a range of values. For the toggle type of option, set with the appropriate keyword enables the option and ~set keyword or unset keyword disables the option. For the value type of option, set keyword value sets the value while set keyword displays the current value.
Only two options are currently implemented, both of the toggle type:
Keyword | Function |
---|---|
autocolor | Gives each newly opened model a different color; same as the New Molecules preference use new color... . |
independent | If set, models rotate about their own centers; otherwise, models rotate about the collective center. This can also be controlled in the Rotation section of the Viewing Tool. See also: cofr, setcom |
The former value-type option with keyword bg_color was used to change the background color in Midas; in Chimera, the background color can be controlled in the Background preferences.
The former value-type option with keyword linewidth has been reimplemented as the command linewidth.
