When I hover the mouse over for a surface, the exact values were not displayed in the bottom. ChimeraX is version 1.3, and the computer runs Windows. Tom tested in ChimeraX 1.3 with electrostatic potential on a solvent excluded surface on Mac and it all worked for him, showing the values under the mouse in the status line. ChimeraX can partially fix this but may make some panel titlebars and edges black.
