I downloaded the appropriate Debian package from https://www.cgl.ucsf.edu/chimerax/download.html (ucsf-chimerax_1.3ubuntu18.04_amd64.deb). However, running sudo apt install on the package returns an error: Errors were encountered while processing: /home/louis/Downloads/ucsf-chimerax_1.3ubuntu18.04_amd64.deb E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1) Is this error reproducible at your end? In contrast, the daily release Debian package (version 1.4.dev202201150102) seemed to install fine. The problem is that this version doesn't seem to be compatible with ISOLDE, which is currently on version 1.3! Many thanks for your help!
