525	cannot independently specify surface patches for same atoms in different surface models	Elaine Meng	Tom Goddard	"Now we can have multiple molecular surfaces (SES) for the same or overlapping sets of atoms. However, I can’t think of any way to *partially* show/hide such surfaces independently. For example if you had a surface on each chain of a dimer and another surface around the whole dimer, you can’t hide the alanine surfaces in the whole-dimer surface only… you can only hide all alanine surface patches (surface hide :ala), or hide the entire whole-dimer surface (hide surf-model-number).

It doesn’t work to first use “surf hide :ala” and then show the entire other surfaces (like Chimera1 modeldisplay), because nothing changes: the per-atom patch display bits remain the same, and you can’t get any whole surface back without using “surf show :ala” or “show :ala targ s” which affects them all."	enhancement	assigned	minor Surface all	ChimeraX
