Dear Team

I am reaching out to report an issue with installing UCSF ChimeraX on 
Debian 12. I attempted to install both the Ubuntu 22.04 and 24.04 
versions, but encountered unmet dependencies: libffi7 and libssl1.1. 
These libraries are deprecated in Debian 12, where newer versions 
(libffi8 and libssl3) are used instead but chimerax canŽt use the new 
ones.

To proceed with the installation, I had to manually source libffi7 and 
libssl1.1 from the Debian Bullseye repositories, which is not an ideal 
workaround and may cause compatibility issues.

Could you consider updating the ChimeraX dependencies to support Debian 
12 or provide guidance on a recommended setup for users on this OS?
