1598	RFE: command to report current volume-rendering settings	Elaine Meng	Tom Goddard	"I keep wishing for some command to report the current rendering settings for a volume model. For example, after I apply some Horos preset I don’t know if it turned on dimTransparentVoxels or not, so I don’t know whether to try turning it on, or what the effects of “transparency” might be since they seem to be opposite depending on whether or not dimTransparentVoxels is on.  I also don’t know the current brightness, so there is no baseline to suggest what values to try if I want to try increasing the value or decreasing it.

I really like that “lighting” reports the current settings.  I know for model-specific settings it becomes messier, but it would still be useful."	enhancement	closed	major		Volume Data		fixed						all	ChimeraX
