While this coloring might be best when first opening an AlphaFold model I am not sure it will be what the user wants when opening it every time.

AlphaFold 3 mmCIF files identify the model as coming from AlphaFold have in the mmCIF software table.

ChimeraX ColabFold produces PDB files with no remarks.  They could be identified by seeing alphafold2_multimer_v3 in the file name.  The multimer part is present even when monomer predictions are run.  The file names will likely be different if AlphaFold 2 is run in other ways.  Maybe mmCIF AlphaFold 2 output identifies the model as coming from alphafold.
