Currently the ""color sample"" command can color the surface using volume values offset from the surface along the surface normal vectors using the ""offset"" option, for example

    color sample #5 map #1 palette -40,black:40,white offset 40

Would like to allow the offset option to accept 3 values: a starting offset, ending offset, and step size, for example

   color sample #5 map #1 palette -40,black:40,white offset 40,100,10

which would take average volume value at offsets 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100 Angstroms and color the surface using that average value.
