Something happened in Ubuntu 12.10 that breaks Chimera's SideView tool, 
even if you have the proprietary graphics driver installed. So we 
recommend waiting until this bug is resolved.  I plan to retest Ubuntu 
12.10 every two or three weeks, but if anyone finds out that it is fixed 
earlier, please let me know.
