Sparky keeps the resonances even after you remove the last peak
assignment
that uses the resonance because they can be useful in some cases. For
example you can open an assigned spectrum and an unassigned spectrum
which
allows you to see the assigned spectrum resonances in the resonance
panels
of the unassigned spectrum. Then if you close the assigned spectrum the
resonances stick around (even with no assignments) as an aid to
looking at
the unassigned spectrum.
