Dear Samaha Th,
The correct e-mail address for questions is chimera-users at cgl.ucsf.edu (see CC) not chimera-bugs.

The message means exactly what it says. You have chosen an option to save multiple files, so you have to enter a name that includes either “$number” or “$name” so that it can make multiple names. For example, if you had models #1 and #2 in Chimera and you entered the name

myfile$number.pdb

…you would get two files, one named myfile1.pdb and one named myfile2.pdb. If you only want one file, then don’t choose the “multiple files” option in the Save dialog.

I hope this helps,
Elaine
