Hi Dr. Manjunath,
The address for questions about using Chimera is chimera-users at cgl.ucsf.edu (CC’d here).

The short answer is I don’t know, because “modeling” is such a broad and vague term.  People use Chimera for looking at the structures of molecules. It is usually used for biomolecules like proteins, but also small organic molecules.  It does not calculate bulk material properties or do large-scale simulations, if that’s what you mean.
