When atoms are selected (by any method, but including when you have “Select” turned on in the CASTp dialog), you can write out a list of those atoms or their residues. Just choose Actions… Write List from the main menu in Chimera, then specify that you want to write “selected” (instead of “unselected”) and “residues” (instead of individual “atoms”). You can write this list to a text file, or just click the “Log” button on the writing dialog to instead send the information to the Reply Log. You can show the Reply Log from the Favorites menu of Chimera.
I hope this helps,

However, I wonder if it is possible to obtain these residues as a list (thr59, Val115, etc) useful as a txt or other similar format. Is there some way to achieve this goal? It could be possible for Surfnet also?
