I was going to leave this until Id cleaned things up, added some
documentation and made an initial release, but what the hey ...

SparkyScripts (http://sourceforge.net/projects/sparkyscripts/) is a
(currently small) repository of Python extension scripts for use with
the Sparky NMR assignment package. The intention is to create a clean
and consistent set of community contributed and developed scripts
which add functionality to Sparky.
The license should be such that these scripts can be readily
integrated back into the official Sparky release (currently LGPL),
if so desired (hint hint nudge nudge Tom :) ).

There are no packaged releases yet, but there are several scripts in
the Sourceforge CVS
(http://cvs.sourceforge.net/viewcvs.py/sparkyscripts/) that can be
downloaded through the web interface.

Most of the scripts currently in CVS are my attempts at providing
interoperability between Sparky and the CANDID / Cyana automated
assignment and structure calculation software by Peter Guntert &
Torsten Herrmann. They have worked well for me, but probably require
documentation to understand the intended workflow they are designed
for. There are also some scripts for helping Sparky work
interactively with MOLMOL .. I wrote these before the Chimera
inteface was repaired to work with more recent versions of Chimera,
and also because sometimes I prefer to use MOLMOL.

Users with good ideas and bug reports, those who are keen to develop
new scripts and anyone with existing scripts they wish to contribute
and integrate are welcome to join the project.

Cheers,

Andrew Perry
