Renaming the spectra by st appears to work - I am able to save the
spectra now. Thank you Eiso!

In response to your question, the error message appears in the command
line window (not the GUI one) after I type fa.

Thank you for response, Eiso.

The save as also work only for the first loaded spectrum. For the
rest of them the following message is returned:

===---------===
tk_getSaveFile -parent .view381 - title {Save Spectrum xx:N}
-initialdir {dir_name} -initialfile 2rr:1.save -filetypes {{Any *}
{Assignments .save} {Project .proj}}
Error: invalid filename xx:1.save
===---------===

[ I dont have windows so I cant really test anything here. ]

at which point exactly [you get this message]?

what happens if you change the name of the spectrum (st dialog)
and then try to save?

are there any files saved already in the Save directory?
could you rename them and start over? Note that you can open
the project file in an editor and change the save file names
by hand (if youve renamed them in the OS)

Hi,
I have an amateur question with respect to data saving in
Sparky (v.
3.114 under Win Vista).

I have a project with several spectra in it. When I am trying to
save
it, the project file saves correctly, however only the first
spectrum
is saved. I believe this is because Sparky tries to save the
rest of
the spectra under format xx:save, which is not possible under
Windows due to the colon symbol.

Is there any solution to this problem? Thank you!

try saving the individual spectra using Save as with a different
name. (xx.save). The shortcut is fa
after that saving the project will use the new names.
