Hi John,

There is no Sparky command to flush the spectrum data it has cached
and redraw the spectrum windows. You might be able to do it in a
cumbersome way using File / Preferences, setting NMR data cache size
to 0, press Apply, then set it back to a reasonable value and press
Apply. This wont automatically update the displayed spectrum contours
but you could then use redraw view (vr) to redraw the windows for the
changed spectrum. I think this should work, though it would require
testing. If you change the the size of the spectrum (zero filing say)
it definitely wont work, because Sparky will not reread the spectrum
file header. It only rereads the data values when they have not been
cached.

hi, i was wondering if there is a way to reread a spectrum without
having to open it again. for example, if i open a file and realize the
phase is wrong, i can rephase it and rewrite it to the disk with the
same name. then to view the file, i need to close it and reopen it.
because it has the same name is there a way that i could just refresh
the view with the updated spectrum?
thanks in advance
