Subject: Sparky does not start: csh: set: Variable name must begin with a letter.

Hi T.J.

The problem is that you have a space character in the path to Sparky
(for example /Users/home/goddard/Sparky 3 or /Applications/NMR
Programs/Sparky). The Sparky start-up script does not handle that
correctly.

You can either change the Sparky installation location so it does not
contain a space character or replace the Sparky startup script

Sparky.app/Contents/Resources/bin/sparky

with the one Ive attached. The improved startup script will be
included in the next release (after 3.113).

Ive just installed sparky on a PowerBook G4 running 10.4.9 and
apples X11 v1.1.3. neither sparky v3.112 nor v3.113 open and quit
immediately (in less than one second). if i leave my .cshrc file as
is (contains a few alias commands plus what was added by nmrpipes), i
get csh: setenv: Too Many Arguments displayed in the console. If i
completely remove my .cshrc file, i get csh: set: Syntax Errorin the
console. when i invoke sparky directly from the command line, the
same errors get reported. i cant find any mention of this in the
yahoo users group and dont know what to do now. thank you for your
help.
