Hi Marco,
This was asked a year ago and I think my response was not sufficient for the first question about keeping selected strip because my answer is less productive than below one.There is a better way to keep selected strip and remove other. Just select a peak in the strip you want to keep and add a peak strip (sk).
And then remove matching strip (sm) will remove all the matching strip but your selected strip added additionally by (sk) will remain.
