Hello,

So I re installed the virtual machine (deleted it and installed it again) and then Sparky worked perfectly well. I saved some files and all of it looked great. However, today morning when I powered on the virtual machine, the same problem exists. Its a blank blue screen and I cannot see my spectrum. I can see the spectrum on a Mac but not on the virtual machine. We also installed the zlib-devel package but it still doesnt work. Operating system is centos 6.

Best,
Insiya

I installed CentOS 6.2 and NMRFAM-Sparky with python installation script.

CentOS 6.2 required additional zlib-devel package, and after that it works fine like the attached picture.

The VM is from virtualboxes.org . There is only one 6.2 version, so you can try.

We have many CentOS systems (5.5 ~ 6.5) that runs both Sparky and NMRFAM-Sparky fine.
I think some graphical library issues need to be resolved.

I got report from someone who could not see the spectra, and it turned out to be related to the intensities made very high in the TopSpin. That problem could be solved easily by rerunning bruk2ucsf with NC_proc parameters. However, in that case, user will not see the spectrum in any of the systems. If it is OS related and Redhat relatives, that probably could be solved.

I will try to install fresh on one of my new CentOS 6 VM and report here.
