Instances of Tools

Instances of tools may be accessible from the Tools menu. That is, when certain tools or extensions have been started and not quit during a Chimera session, a listing will appear in the bottom part of the menu:

Tools... Tool_name

or, depending on the tool,

Tools... Tool_name - data

Tool_name is the tool's full or abbreviated name and data is the name of the data being shown or manipulated by the tool. There can be multiple instances of the same tool with the same data file or different data files. A submenu for each instance contains the options:

Raise - show the tool interface
Hide - hide the tool interface without exiting from the tool
Quit - exit from this instance of the tool
