Usage:
distance atom1 atom2

Usage:
~distance [ atom1 atom2 ]

Usage:
~distance all

Distance dynamically calculates and displays distances in angstroms between specified pairs of atoms. A dotted line is drawn between each pair of atoms for which a distance calculation is active. Atom1 and atom2 may be any two atoms in the displayed models. The distance calculation may be deactivated using ~distance with the same atom specification; if no atom specification is given, or the keyword all is used, all active distances are removed.

Examples:

distance #1:12@CA #0:47@CA
- measure distance between alpha carbons in model 1, residue 12 and model 0, residue 47
~distance #1:12@CA #0:47@CA
- stop measuring and displaying the distance between the two atoms
