Extension Instances

Instances of some extensions are accessible from the Extensions menu. That is, when certain extensions have been started and not quit during a Chimera session, a menu item of the form

Extensions... Extension_name

or (depending on the extension)

Extensions... Extension_name - [data]

exists, where Extension_name is the extension's full or abbreviated name and data is the name of the data being shown or manipulated by the extension. There can be multiple instances of the same extension with the same data file or different data files. A submenu for each instance contains the options:

Raise - open the dialog or display window for this instance of the extension, or bring it to the front
Hide - close the dialog or display window for this instance of the extension without exiting
Quit - exit from this instance of the extension
